reverb fragments

easy to do in cubase: you are loading an audio track, deleting every 2nd bar, recording with a reverb effect on it, loading the new track, deleting every first bar now. i was using the wurr audio reverb vst and 120 bpm tempo.

introduction

there are a lot of blogs and websites existing that have sounds, loops and beats for free download. but mostly it is mainstream or dance music: techno, dancefloor, hip hop, house, electronic disco. that´s fine but i really think there is something missing.

almost everybody is recording music with a computer nowadays: industrial, idm, click and cut electronica, dubstep, trip hop, minimal electro, modern free jazz, postrock, world music...

and the music i (personally) like is not automatically "electronic" or "computer" music: pre and post punk, new wave, proto-goth / batcave, (post) industrial, krautrock, psychedelia. but i don´t really care about terms and headlines. you could also call it "music for urban dunes and deserts": raw, primal, psychedelic, ritual.

virtual circuit bending

this blog is a kind of "work-in-progress" project. i´m sharing some loops, sounds and selfmade presets with you. i don´t have the knowledge for programming a proper vst effect or instrument on my own. but i do have lots of strange ideas.

with modern technology you no longer have to press a key on a synthesizer or strum a guitar string or beat on a drum for making music or creating sounds. cut. copy. paste. delete.

jpg to wav? wav to midi? jpg to midi?
not a problem nowadays. there are lots of programs that are helping you. and some are doing it by accident. you just have to try and find out. and share your knowledge with other people. that´s what i´m doing.
